I stumbled across this delightful idea a while ago on Kickstarter. Chineasy claims to be "a bright and engaging illustrated methodology for learning Chinese through fun and whimsical illustrations" beautifully illustrated by Noma Bar. The project aims to be the "first step for anyone in the world who wants to understand China, Chinese culture and its language" and ultimately bridge the gap between the East and the West.

"I want to give the West a real understand and knowledge so that people can understand China and appreciate Chinese culture via their own eyes rather than layers of packaging, manipulation or loss in translation"  says Chineasy founder, ShaoLan.

It's been great watching this project grow as more and more people see its potential and become drawn towards the charm of its beautiful illustrations. If you haven't checked it out already, it's well worth a look!
